“ @food.whale1419 First time in an animal cafe in Japan, many steps to follow for first time comers. First and foremost, put your shoes in bag and store them in the locker. Then, you can grab a drink of your choice in the vending machine. After, you have a few treat choices you can buy, which they will give you a ticket you can cash in any time during your stay. Also, no children allowed either, which I understand for the cats' sake. Since your stay is timed and they only finalize your time after you come out, it's a freaking trap since your intended stay of 1 to 1.5 hours can extend infinitely with these fluff balls loitering around you. The immediate realization when I'm here: it's very quiet. The humans are quiet to not spook the cat, the cats are quiet, the whole space is pretty much silent all around. But not the eerie kind of quiet, very soothing and comforting. There's also not much lighting here, making it noon-ish all the time inside. Cats are just sleeping left and right, you can't pick them up unless they voluntarily do so to you, or the staff helps you. Definitely recommend the frozen cat treat, since the cats take a while to finish one, making it extra time to pet them. ”
“ This cafe has a beautiful interior design and a great collection of adorable cats who seem calm and well cared for. I’d suggest buying one of the treat lollipops as that helps the cat warm up to you. As a note: you pay by the hour for cafe admission- drinks are free from vending machines. ”

“ This was my very first cat cafe experience (and my first time in Japan), so it was definitely on the agenda—and it did not disappoint! We went around noon on a Tuesday in August, and it was super clean, quiet, and not too crowded. Honestly, I could see myself working from here regularly if I lived nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I each got a treat for the cats, and suddenly we were the center of attention—all the kitties came over for a few minutes of well-deserved snacks. It was such a fun and memorable experience. I also really appreciated the small touches: we were given slippers when we came in to keep the space clean, there were shelves of manga, and even some people playing video games. But of course, most people were there for the cats—and they were adorable, playful, and well cared for. We stayed for about 30 minutes (the minimum time before you get charged extra), and it was the perfect little pick-me-up to break up our day of exploring Shinjuku. Overall, a really cool, relaxing experience—and it even gave me some ideas of what could be possible back home in Austin, Texas! ”
“ Clean, relaxed and well maintained pet cafe in a convenient location in Shinjuku. The cats looked well cared for and there was plenty to do in the cafe other than playing with the cats. Locker area, clean toilets and slippers are supplied on arrival. Free flow of hot or cool drinks from the vending machines and drink area. This particular branch is for over 13's which meant it was peaceful compared to other cafes. Comic books and gaming machines were there for anyone to use. You can buy treats for the kitties and toys to interact with them. Highly recommend a visit here especially during the two feedings times per day! ”

“ Clean and organized. Most importantly, the cats all seem well fed and cared for. We bought some treats and pet them, it was a cute experience. A unique thing to do in an Asian checklist. The nice part is that there is a coffee machine with a large variety of coffee, tea and other hot and iced beverages for us, customers. That is entirely free, included in the entrance fee. ”
